Design and Experiment of Electronically Tunable Voltage-Mode Biquad and Output Current Amplitude Oscillator

This study presents an electronically tunable configuration for the design of a voltage-mode (VM) biquad with four input terminals and three output terminals. The proposed circuit employs operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs) two grounded capacitors. Depending on selections voltage signals, all standard filtering functions can be realized. simultaneously provides VM inverting band-pass, non-inverting low-pass, band-reject without any component-matching choices. It offers features resistorless structure, high-input impedance, electronic control pole frequency quality factor, low active passive sensitivities. measured power dissipation is 0.96 W under 32 mA constant current. 1 dB gain compression point band-pass filter −7 dBm. value third-order intercept 5.136 dBm, intermodulation distortion −50.83 dBc. Moreover, spurious-free dynamic range 53.49 dB, figure-of-merit 268.75 × 103. In addition, controllable quadrature oscillator (QO) amplitude current realized using biquad. QO provide modulation signal or shift keying signal, widely applied in processing systems communication systems. PSpice simulations experimental results are accomplished.
